About This Experience

The cheapest way onto Lake Garda, and the shortest. This 25-minute circuit leaves the harbour below the Scaligero Castle and runs a full loop around the Sirmione peninsula — the 4 km spit that the town, the castle and the Roman villa were all built along. Sirmione was laid out facing the water rather than the road, so a loop from the lake shows you the elevations you simply cannot reach on foot. It is a circuit rather than an excursion: there are no landings and no stops, which is precisely why it costs what it does.

Good to Know

• The circuit is non-stop — there are no landings. Buy separate tickets if you also want to go inside the castle or the Grotte di Catullo.
• Sirmione's historic centre is a 24-hour restricted traffic zone (ZTL), so plan to reach the harbour on foot or by bus rather than driving to the quay.
• Mornings are calmer on the water. Lake Garda's southerly afternoon wind, the Ora, fills in around midday and blows to sunset at 12–18 knots.
• Short peninsula loops do not stop for swimming — book a longer excursion if that is the point of your trip.
